Spyvalve is committed to protecting your privacy. Spyvalve aims to provide users with access on information on the health of aquatic environments and does not require personal information for general use of its services and website. At the users request, Spyvalve does require the user to provide a username and email address to access its alert service, which relates to alerting the user of potential water quality issues in an location specified by the user. No further personal information will be requested by Spyvalve. If restricted information is requested and access is approved by Spyvalve, the user will be required to set up an account under a third party, shinyapps.io, in which case the user is encouraged to review the Privacy Policy for that website. Spyvalve does not control, and is not responsible for, the content or practices of these other websites (see policy on external websites below). Please take the time to read this Privacy Policy. 
This Privacy Policy, which applies to the information obtained through our website, defines our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information we receive from you. By using our service and/or website, www.spyvavle.com, the user consents to the collection and storing of their username and email address. If the user does not agree to the terms herein, please do not use our alert service. 
If we make any changes to this Privacy Policy, you will be notified via email. We encourage you to review our privacy policy whenever you use our services or website. Using our services and/or website after a notice of changes has been sent to you constitutes consent to the changed privacy policy. At any time, if you disagree with the privacy policy, you will need to stop using our services by deactivating your alerts.

Although we use a password protected database to store usernames and email addresses, the internet is not a completely secure environment and Spyvalve does not ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to our website. There is no guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of any of our safeguards and Spyvalve is not responsible for any breaches. Spyvalve retains personal information that you provide for as long as we need it to provide the alert service requested by the user. The user?s personal information will be deleted from our database if the user deactivates the alert service.
We may be required to disclose your Personal Information and/or information with respect to your use of our websites in response to lawful requests by court order or other legal process, such as to comply with national security or law enforcement requirements.
We will never sell, rent or otherwise provide your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

Accessing Your Information. 
In compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982, individuals can request access to all personal information Spyvalve holds on them by contacting privacy@spyvalve.com, noting that Spyvalve only stores a username and email that is provided by the user to receive alerts via email. Usernames and emails can be corrected by contacting privacy@spyvalve.com or by deactivating request for alerts then subsequently activating an alert system using the corrected username and/or email address. 

Complaints
If you have any concerns or complaints regarding the way in which your privacy information has been used, please contact privacy@spyvalve.com. If the dispute cannot be resolved then the dispute will be taken to an external dispute resolution (EDR) scheme for free, independent, quick and fair dispute resolution. If the dispute cannot be resolved through the EDR scheme, and other dispute resolution procedures have been exhausted, the complaint, at the user?s request will be taken to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Our provision of such links does not constitute our endorsement of these websites or content. This privacy policy does thus not apply to these other websites. The user should review the privacy policies of any websites that are visited.

To deactivate alerts and remove your Personal Information from our database please email privacy@spyvalve.com.
